Infonyte GmbH

Infonyte Query

Description

The Infonyte XQL engine implements the XQL Specification published in the W3C-QL '98 workshop proposal "XML Query Language (XQL)" ) which has been proposed in September 1998 to the W3C XSL working group.

The XQL Specification provides a set of query facilities for XML documents, sufficient for a wide range of applications. The XQL engine implements the complete set of operators and functions described in the XQL Specification. In addition to the XQL Specification proprietary extension operators for (1) variables, (2) multi document queries, (3) restructuring of query results, (4) full text search, (5) result construction, and (6) sequencing are provided.

The engine can be used on top of any W3C compliant DOM implementation. This allows for seamless and simple embedding of XQL support into your applications and services. The XQL engine provides leading edge performance, especially for structurally complex queries.

Features

  • supports XQL'98 with extensions for variables, multi document queries, restructuring of query results, full text search, result construction, and sequencing
  • automated and transparent indexing on document structure
  • 100% Java (Java 2 Platform)
